Can I drive my car after I disconnect my ABS module?

I have a year 2000, V70. 195k miles.

You can but IIRC, you won't have a speedo.

You will lose the speedometer and the odometer and, obviously, you won''t have ABS but otherwise it will work just fine. I put the connector in a Baggie to keep the connections clean. The brakes will still work.

I think Matty Moo will send you a rebuilt on an exchange basis where it really isn't an issue if you want to go that route.

I'm trying to disconnect the ABS module and still use the car while the ABS is being fixed.

Can I pull the fuse to the ABS in order to disconnect it from working, instead of removing the unit itself? Or do I need the fuse to remain because other systems use it?

Also, when I go to remove the ABS module, is it required to remove the fuse ahead of time?

Lastly, which fuse(s) are associated with the ABS? The owners manual lists 2 fuses: one in the "Relay/Main fuse box" and one in the "supplementary fuse box". Would I need to pull them both?

Yes, you need to pull them both before you remove the ABS module.

I am old school and do not like ABS.
Pumping the brakes has caused the ABS on my Volvo and Dodge truck to fail.
The brakes work better now for me, but how do I turn off the idiot light?

Remove the instrument cluster and take the lamp out of the socket. If you have TRACS remove that one as well.
