Anyone tired of their wiper blades?
I got so sick of the Bosch blades that Volvo uses- supplied by the dealer and/or bought at an autoparts store. Anyway, I recently ordered a set of Valeo wiper blades from tirerack for my wife's '04 V70 and was very pleasantly surprised at how sleek they are and how well they do the job. These don't clatter over the glass no matter how cold it is outside. I liked them so much that I ordered a pair for my S70 as well. I thought I would pass on the info to members here. Currently, it's buy one and get a second one free. http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/valeo/ultimate.jsp

In october, when I got my car, I paid 12 bucks a pop for two bosch blades for my car.
At the time, the driver's wiper arm was tweaked such that the last 1/4 of it's swipe was not in contact with the windshield..
Anyway, that's fixed, and these blades are 'ok' but it's hard to tell if it's their fault of the windshield. In a 10 year old car, when the windows get pitted from sand/rocks, it becomes harder to get blades to work well on them.
I can't find them in town, but I had bought Anco silicone blades for my beetle when I bought it in 2002 and they're still on there, working great. I can't find silicone blades anywhere, but they don't crack with age, and they must conform to the curves better.
But like I said, the windshield also matters. I have the same silicone blades on my 94 Ford F150 and they don't do a good job, but I'm sure it's the cracked, pitted windshield. But, they seem to last a really long time.. At least twice as long as rubber blades. But for whatever reason, nobody in town has them anymore.
