I'm a real newbie to all of this, just wondering if anybody could direct me to any links for converting my V70 1998 to a FWD and has anybody had first hand in doing this, reading some posts on other forums that it is as simple as just removing the driveshafts, i would be extremely grateful for some info from anybody who has done this.
cheers guys

trev,
If your bevel gearbox is functioning properly, then simply removing the driveshaft will work. If you are experiencing noise from the bevel gearbox, then removing the driveshaft may not resolve the problem. There are options to remove the bevel gearbox permanently as well, but it requires that the drive collar be somehow locked into the transmission to properly seal it from the elements and prevent oil leakage. Here's a thread that discusses some options if full bevel gearbox removal is needed.
